Thank you, St. James’! You continue to show wonderful dedication to serving our East Austin community at Neighbor 2 Neighbor (N2N) and Freedom Schools. All of us gathered at the Welcome Table– neighbors, staff, volunteers, scholars, and families — are so grateful to you.
Freedom Schools saw great success this summer, with over 90% attendance as scholars enjoyed in-person and virtual inspiration and achievement. Neighbor 2 Neighbor opened up walkthrough services and continued phone and text support.
We’re excited to announce the promotion of Emily Donahue to N2N Program Manager. In addition to on-site services, she’ll be focused on senior services and volunteers. This folds in well with all the ways that Emily helps the Reading Buddies program. And, as interim executive director, Lizzie Cain Clark will oversee both N2N and Freedom Schools. Welcome Table is building community every day. It’s an honor to serve with you.
