The Union of Black Episcopalians/Myra McDaniel Chapter welcomes all members of the Protestant Episcopal Church.
Named for the first African American to serve as Texas Secretary of State, our chapter: promotes diversity within the Church and society; advances a community of informed, involved, responsible, evangelists; enhances dialog through initiatives such as One Human Race; fosters leadership development among youth; assists in the preparation of ministers through programs such as the Pauli Murray Scholarship; and forms coalitions in support of UBE and Episcopal church mission/goals.
As a ministry serving Central Texas, UBE/Myra McDaniel Chapter will develop our vision for how UBE can best serve given our unique gifts and mission.
To learn more, join UBE for our next meeting:
Saturday, August 17, noon-2 pm
St. James’ Episcopal Church, Founders Hall
Bring a snack to share and be part of making a difference in the Church and society through awareness and action!
