We’ve been receiving a lot of questions about east Austin resources for neighbors in need. Neighbor 2 Neighbor is currently working alongside Good Apple to get food delivered to households with someone who is 55+ or has a health condition or disability that puts them at risk. Here is information about that partnership and additional resources.

Who can get deliveries?
Anyone in need of food who lives in Travis County and is age 55+ or has a health condition or disability which puts them at high risk for COVID-19.
Is this free?
Yes, both the food and delivery service is 100% free. We will never ask for your bank account, credit card, or social security number, and you should hang up on anyone who does.
What type of food will be delivered?
You will receive a bag of non-perishables and a bag of fresh produce.
How much food will be delivered?
Each bag will have a week’s worth of food for one person. You will receive a bag for each person in your household, up to 5 bags max.
When should I expect a delivery?
This is on a first come first serve basis, and as soon as they are able to get you scheduled for a food delivery, Good Apple will reach out to you via text or phone. With the current waiting list, this is taking 1-2 weeks.
If it’s been more than that and you haven’t heard from Good Apple, you can call us (512-879-4381). Unfortunately, calling will not speed your delivery up, and we don’t currently have access to their delivery schedule.
What days of the week do they deliver?
Monday through Friday, between 10 AM and 6 PM.
How many times can I use this service?
This is a one-time delivery. However, 7 days after receiving your delivery, if you still need food, you may fill out the survey at https://utexas.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_2fBMQtb1i5IBor3 to request another, or call us at 512-879-4381 or Good Apple at 737-228-3558 to request another.
