On Sunday, January 19, we are privileged at St. James’ to honor Dr. King’s birthday through the use of the very peaceful pie while at the same time benefiting our church community! This annual event is co-hosted by the Phenomenal Women of St. James’ and the St. James’ Youth group. Proceeds will go to St. James’ Youth Ministries and our growing Freedom Schools program.
The event will feature both live and silent auctions, pies to enjoy, and pizza pies for sustenance. Sign up to bring a pie for the auction here.
Peace Through Pie is an expression of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s dream of a “Beloved Community”, where everyone shares a piece of the pie. PTP’s mission initiates and encourages conversation about the values we share and our ability to make peace with our neighbors. Find out more here.
