Outdoor Children’s Service Registration

Welcome!  Below is information about our outdoor children’s services.  We will begin services again on February 21, 2021. Please join us online until then!
This service is designed to bring families with children together for worship in a masked, distanced, but still interactive way.  The Liturgy of the Word will be formed by Godly Play and followed by prayers and Holy Communion.

There are two easy steps to be ready to worship together:
1. Read through the Things to Know and Covenant for Regathering in Worship below. By registering, you are agreeing to attend and to the Covenant for Regathering in Worship.
2. At the bottom of this page, click on the link to sign up.

Children’s Services begin again on Sunday, February 21 and will continue every other Sunday (there will be Children’s Services on both Palm Sunday and Easter).

Things to Know

Due to the limited seating in light of social distancing, we are restricting the number of registrations available per service. If the service you want to attend is full, we encourage you to try a different service or plan to join us online.

Please plan to arrive 15 minutes before the service so we can check-in and seat everyone without disrupting the service. If you arrive after the service time, your seat may be taken by a visitor.

At check-in, you will be asked if you are experiencing any symptoms identified with COVID-19. By registering, you are agreeing to do a check of your family for symptoms prior to arrival on campus.  Be sure to take your temperature to check for fever, monitor coughing (do you have a non-habitual dry cough?), and check for shortness of breath.  More information about symptoms can be found here.

Covenant for In-Person Worship

By registering for in-person worship services, I acknowledge the risk of gathering with other participants in these uncertain times of COVID-19.  I am aware of my own risk factors and have taken them into full consideration.

As part of this community, I will:

  • maintain a social distance between me and anyone not in my household and encourage other members of my household to do the same.
  • sanitize my hands frequently, and wear a mask while on the grounds of St. James’ Episcopal Church.
  • check myself for symptoms of COVID-19 prior to arrival.  If I am not feeling well or running a fever, I will not attend.
  • stay in touch with the church office.  If I subsequently test positive for or show symptoms of COVID-19, I will inform the church at office@stjamesaustin.org.
  • show up for church early in order to make the check-in process go smoothly.
