Advanced Care Planning Made Easy
Do your loved ones know what kind of healthcare you might want, if there ever comes a time when you can’t speak for yourself? In celebration of National Healthcare Decisions Day, Hospice Austin’s GIFT Project – together with Meals on Wheels and AGE – is hosting an “Advance Care Planning Made Easy” event where folks can drop by, learn about advance directives like Medical Power of Attorney and Living Wills, get their questions answered from doctors, nurses and social workers, and enjoy a free meal from Jason’s Deli. There will also be witnesses available for those who want to complete their advance directives. The event will be held Wednesday, April 13th from 11:00 – 1:00 in the parking lot of Mt. Zion Church. Please contact Shirley Price for more information at 737-346-9939.

Interfaith Action of Central Texas (iACT), invites you to support one of Austin’s most uplifting events of the year on Tuesday, April 26 at 6:30 p.m. The theme for this year’s Hope Awards is “Inspiring A New Generation: Building Hope Together” featuring author, speaker, education and interfaith leader, Dr. Eboo Patel.  Tickets available March 28.   For more information and to learn more about iACT visit http://interfaithtexas.org/.
