Dear People of St. James’,
It is a great pleasure to introduce you to Kennedy Thedford, our new Youth Minister for St. James’. Kennedy will begin her work with St. James’ on December 1.
Here is a little biographical material:
Kennedy Thedford is an Episcopalian from Atlanta, Georgia. She is a graduate of Agnes Scott College with a B.A. in Spanish and Religion. Kennedy is currently studying towards her M.Div. at Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary. Kennedy was an assistant youth leader at her home parish and a Chaplain Intern at Agnes Scott College. She enjoys reading and traveling.
Kennedy brings strong experience, intercultural sensitivity, and great energy to this position. She is passionate about working with children, parents, and grandparents alike. She shares St. James’ commitment to inclusion in a whole myriad of forms as a sign of God’s love.
Kennedy will be serving on a part-time basis (about 5 hours a week) with the primary goals of supporting our growing youth group, building community among parents, and supporting multigenerational events. This is a big job, and she will need the continuing support of all of our amazing volunteers.
Please join us this Sunday to welcome Kennedy.
Rev. Eileen
