Interfaith Action of Central Texas (iACT), is excited to invite you to our virtual fall fundraiser: A Night Under One Sky on October 27! This year’s program, The Path to Racial Justice: Allies and Co-Conspirators for Good, explores how we as individuals and as faith communities can promote racial reconciliation and anti-racism. We never again want to hear that terrible cry, “I can’t breathe.” On this night, we seek to listen to our better angels who inspire us to live more justly, humbly, and kindly under one sky. This year our program features Bishop Michael Curry, Dr. Edwin Dorn, professor and former Dean of the LBJ School of Public Affairs and a lion for civil rights; Chris Hyams, CEO of Indeed.com; Dr. Daryl Horton, pastor at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, an historic Black church in east Austin; and Muna Hussaini, activist, high tech guru, and co-founder of Muslim Space. Get more information and tickets here.

A Black Perspective on Spirituality: Howard Thurman and James Cone –and a White Reflection
with Rev. Donald E. Brewington and the Rev. James C. Harrington
Seton Cove Luncheon series November 10
This discussion will look at two prominent Black religious thinkers and how their thinking intersects with each other and how they differ from contemporary White religious thinkers. James Cone (1938–2018) was an American theologian, best known for his advocacy of Black theology and Black liberation theology, providing a new way to comprehensively define the distinctiveness of theology in the Black church. Howard Thurman (1899-1981) was an African-American author, philosopher, theologian, educator, and civil rights leader. As a prominent religious figure, he played a leading role in many social justice movements and organizations of the twentieth century. Interested? RSVP here.
