Dear People of St. James’,
In the wake of recent events, I know many of you have been wondering about security on the St. James’ campus. I want to assure you that security has also been top of mind for your Vestry Administration Committee.
St. James’ does have an Emergency Preparedness Plan in place, which includes a medical emergency response plan, a severe weather response plan, a fire response plan, and an active shooter response plan (developed in partnership with the Austin Police Department).
For our diocese and its neighbors, June is also the beginning of what may be an active hurricane season. We will remain at the ready to serve our neighbors.
We’ll continue to safeguard our beloved community by including emergency preparedness in upcoming liturgical ministries trainings, children and youth ministries trainings, and offering open trainings for any in our church family who would like to participate.
If you have questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me.
