At Seminary of the Southwest, this year’s Black History Month events focus on the theme “Tracing Our Roots.” You are invited to join us as we honor the legacy of African Americans in the U.S. and confront the future of race in the country and the church.
On Sunday, January 19, we are privileged at St. James’ to honor Dr. King’s birthday by raising money for programs that foster peace.
This year, for MLK Sunday, St. James’ welcomes two guest preachers, Willie Bennett at 8 am and 10:15 am, and Gina Houston at 5:30 pm.
Walk with us through the whole campus paying particular attention to landscaping, the community garden, repairs, signage, storage, and lighting. We will also be envisioning future changes to the campus and its surroundings.

Join us on Sunday, January 5, for our first children’s service of 2020. This Sunday, we will celebrate the Feast of Epiphany, and the sermon and music will focus on Matthew’s story of the magi.
