Youth Volunteer Training (SGC for ages 12 to 17)
We are called to love and serve one another.
Youth are encouraged to serve in various roles in life of our church. Youth ages 12 to 17 who are interested in assisting adults in serving the children’s and youth ministries of St James’ (including VBS and Godly Play) and/or Welcome Table, Inc. (including CDF Freedom Schools® Austin) are invited to go through and complete Safeguarding Youth Helpers training (as part of the Episcopal Church’s Safeguarding God’s Children policies and procedures).
Youth must be screened and trained every 12 months.
Youth interested in serving programs this summer (i.e. VBS or Freedom Schools) should express their interest by May 1st in order to complete their Safeguarding process in time.
