On Sunday, December 26, the Kwanzaa celebration and candle lighting ceremony, will be held immediately following the 10:30 am service in the Founders Hall. This family and community event is co-sponsored by the Union of Black Episcopalians – Myra McDaniel Chapter.

Kwanzaa is a seven day African American and Pan-African holiday that celebrates family, community, and culture, with a focus on seven guiding principles, known as the Nguzo Saba: Umoja: Unity; Kujichagulia: Self-Determination; Ujima: Collective Work and Responsibility; Ujamaa: Cooperative Economics; Nia: Purpose; Kuumba: Creativity; and Imani: Faith.

Join us from 11:30 am – 12 pm for the Kwanzaa candle lighting ceremony.
