Each year the St. James’ community gathers for the Annual Parish Meeting to meet our new Vestry members and wardens, to receive updates on our work in ministry together, to vote on the annual budget, and to have a conversation about the challenges and opportunities of the year ahead.
Whether you have been a part of the life of St. James’ for a long time or a brief time, we hope you will join us as we set out in mission together in 2020. St. James’ embodies Christ’s love wherever we are by setting tables of welcome for all people and providing spiritual nourishment for the journey. We are the bearers of a holy tradition set forth by the African American founders of our church and carried into new places as Austin has changed. We have wisdom to share from this journey with each other, with the Episcopal Diocese of Texas, and with the changing community of Austin. How will you play a part in the coming year?
