March with Austin Episcopalians in PRIDE Parade
Austin Pride is Saturday August 12, and the area Episcopal churches will be marching in the parade that evening. We’ll gather at St. David’s downtown (park for free in the St. David’s parking garage) for a Eucharist at 6:30pm, and then walk to E. 15th and San Jacinto to find our float – The Tiny Chapel – for the parade. We have 20 people on the list of affirming congregations which is wonderful!
The Eucharist will start at St David’s at 6:30pm. Please be sure and register your license plate at our front desk when you enter. If you come to the worship service and register you can park for free in our garage for the parade.
Walkers can line up starting at 7:30pm and the parade starts at 8:00 so we will walk over after the Eucharist. We are in position 18 for the parade so hopefully we will be moving quickly!
Please plan accordingly for the heat and bring a water bottle or whatever you need for the parade!
