Children’s Ministry: Godly Play Online Orientation

Parents and kids (age 3 – 5th grade) are invited to join us online for this year’s Godly Play Orientation, 9:15-10:15 am.  Email office@stjamesaustin.org for the Zoom link or watch for it in the email to parents.

Godly Play is a Montessori-based program through which children become more fully aware of the mystery of God’s presence in their lives through parable, sacred story, silence, and liturgical action. This fall, Godly Play will be online.  Because it is such a hands-on curriculum, we have packets of materials for you to pick up and work with, and we invite you to join us for the Popsicles and Packets Drive Thru event on Saturday, September 12, between 11am and 1pm in the St. James’ parking lot.  If you can’t make it, email office@stjamesaustin.org, so that we can get your materials to you.

If technology is an obstacle to your children participating in Godly Play online, please let us know.  We are thinking through a range of options including loaning out tablets for those who lack the physical tech to gathering small, distanced, and masked Godly Play circles outdoors as part of a family service.
