Founders’ Hall will become an art gallery to display and sell the work of Norman-Sims students, on December 1 following the 10:15 service. The art sale is part of the close relationship St. James’ has had with Norman Elementary for many years. The first student art sale, organized by Proyecto Santiago Reading Buddies, was two years ago. Last year we worked with St. James Missionary Baptist Reading Buddies and staff to bring the art sale there. Now it is back here. All of the proceeds from the art sale will be used by the Norman-Sims Art Department for student supplies and projects. East Side schools do not have the “Booster Clubs” that other public schools in Austin have that supplement public school funding. Come be a booster! Donations are definitely welcome!
