Two of our great friends and long-time members, the Rev. Ed Hartwell and Clifford McPherson, passed away this week.

Clifford McPherson passed away on Friday, January 16. Clifford was born in Colon, Panama where he found his love for basketball. He moved to the United States in 1955 to attend Huston-Tillotson College on a basketball scholarship. He earned his Master’s in Education from North Texas State University. Clifford was a dedicated teacher and coach at AISD. He and his family came to St. James’ back when it was located on 7th Street and have been involved in all sorts of ways ever since.
