The Winter 2019-2020 Oakwood Chapel exhibit Caminar (To Walk) honors Tejanos buried in Oakwood Cemetery. Visitors have an opportunity as they walk through Oakwood Cemetery to reflect on the history and culture of Austin’s early Mexican-American community during the times of legally enforced segregation. Join us on February 1 for an afternoon of ceremonial dances, a musical processions, storytelling and a tamale-making performance.
