Union of Black Episcopalians Alexander Crummell Lecture
Saturday, September 13, 10am – 12 pm
Founders Hall
Join the Union of Black Episcopalians for an open meeting as we celebrate the Feast of Alexander Crummell. At 10 am, The Rev. Lloyd “Tony” Lewis will be offer a lecture and Q&A on Philemon, Paul, and Slavery. On September 14, Dr. Lewis will preach all of the English language services at St. James’, including the 5 pm. Virginia Theological Seminary grads like Rev. Eileen and Rev. Addison will understand what a big deal this visit from a beloved professor is; we’d be happy to tell you more about that if you’re not convinced. Bring friends on Saturday or Sunday and introduce them to the work of the Union of Black Episcopalians.
