Welcome Table continues to support the dignity of low-income, at-risk residents of East Austin and beyond, despite any and all emerging challenges.
Through Freedom Schools, we keep seeing amazing growth of children’s literacy skills and, even more importantly, their sense of self-worth and dignity. For 2025, we hope to increase our program to include 60 scholars!
Through Neighbor 2 Neighbor, we keep providing food and health products that provide tangible support coupled with a sense of belonging and self-worth. The need remains strong, and we’re not slowing down! We are committed to this, with all our volunteers and other supporters pulling in the right direction, to keep cultivating the beloved community that we cherish so dearly.
Additionally, a group of anonymous donors have agreed to match the first $10,000 raised for Welcome Table during Amplify Austin 2025! This means your dollar will go twice as far in sustaining (and growing!) this important movement.

2. Personally invite a friend (or two!) to donate! This can be the perfect to introduce a friend, a neighbor, or family member to Welcome Table. Do you know someone who would love to partake in this work, but you haven’t found a way to invite them to it? Here’s your chance! A phone call, email, or even a simple text message, can do wonders! Something as simple as the following: Hi friends. There’s a non-profit in East Austin that has done some very important work, and I can only see it becoming more important moving forward. Can you join me in making a donation to them? All initial funds will be matched 1:1, so don’t consider any amount too small!
3. Post about it on social media! Multiple times! Welcome Table has a facebook page that we’d love for you to tag – but whether you use facebook, or instagram, or anything else, please take the time to give Welcome Table a shout-out for all your friends to see on their news feed. Your post could very well be the bright sign of hope that someone needed amidst their bleak news feed that day.
