Each virtual connections group will include around six people and will meet for an hour every other week. If you’d like to join, please do this quick online form. After we divvy people up, your host will contact you for your first online meeting. New to Zoom? Check out this tutorial: https://support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/201362193-How-Do-I-Join-A-Meeting-. We hope you’ll take this opportunity to get to know someone new!

a virus ritual

my hands grow dry

they crack from frequent washing —

proper washing

technique now everything

with soap first in palm

I begin the essential steps

and commence to recite the rhyme I learned

when young of churches but in reverse

with “all the people” popping up first

I scrub them thoroughly but then proceed

to drag them through the pews

and then atop each other

you say un-churchly behavior

but it’s better than social distance

time for soapy insistence

on to the thumbs  lets call them ushers,

encircling half the church itself

around each rounded belly

then the foundation of each wing

must be scoured before allowing

the steeple to finally rise

“Yes, clean now,” I inspect

who knew I so long neglected

this two-section filthy temple

it’s cleanliness next to Godliness

in these days of COVID-19:

rinse now and repeat for Jesus,

rinse now and repeat!
