DESCRIPTION:On October 23 at 4 pm, members of our Spanish-speaking community will set up the Altar in the narthex, commemorating the Mexican religious custom known as the Day of the Dead (el Día de los Muertos). Photographs, special items of remembrance, and the favorite foods or beverages of deceased loved ones adorn the altar, along with colorful flowers and papel picado. All of the people of St. James’ are invited to add photographs to altar of people whom they wish to remember.
