DESCRIPTION:On Sat. Aug. 27th from 3-5:30 PM One Human Race, the racial education ministry of the Myra McDaniel chapter of UBE, will hold a book study on Nikole Hannah-Jones’s book The 1619 Project. The book is an expansion of the NY Times series, so even if you read the series it’s still worth your time. During the book study we’ll consider how slavery formed and continues to shape our nation. Need a copy? One Human Race has several available to borrow from the St. James’ church office. Worried about COVID or just don’t want to get out in the heat? The book study will take place over Zoom.
