SUMMARY:Youth Costa Rica Mission Trip Fundraiser
DESCRIPTION:Support the work of our 2022 Costa Rica team!  On June 19-27, The Revs. Eileen O’Brien and Edward Thompson (chaplain at St. Stephen’s School) will take 6 of our St. James’ youth to Limon, Costa Rica, with a group from Christ Church Cathedral.\nThis youth fundraising event will be hybrid (online and in Founders Hall, although you will probably want to join us in Founders Hall following the 10:30 service for a delicious Costa Rican breakfast, served by the youth team.  At 12:00 pm, we will invite you into a short program where you can learn about the history of Costa Rica, and particularly of the Afro-Caribbean people who started the Episcopal Church in Costa Rica.  The Rev. Daren Evans will be our online guest and guide.  Daren served as Rector of El Buen Pastor, the pro-cathedral of the diocese in San Jose, and as diocesan director of youth ministries.  He is currently working on his Masters in Theological Studies at Brite Divinity School in Ft.
