DESCRIPTION:4:00 pm – 6:00 pm\nAs we did for 5 years before the pandemic, St. James’ volunteers will be going to local stores on Ash Wednesday, March 2, to share ashes with our neighbors. We do this to meet people where they are, people who would not otherwise be able to go to church to observe the day.\nAsh Wednesday means embarking on a new journey of repentance and setting out on a new path through life. When we take ashes out from the sanctuary, we hope that this visible sign will remind others about the Gospel, that is grace-filled good news for all people. Participants find this to be a moving experience for them.\nWe will head out from the narthex at two times: 11:30am and at 4:00pm, for about two hours each time. Hacemos esto para encontrarnos con personas que de otra manera no podrían ir a la iglesia para observar el día.\nEl Miércoles de Ceniza significa embarcarse en un nuevo viaje de arrepentimiento y emprender un nuevo camino a través de la vida. Cuando llevamos las cenizas del santuario, esperamos que esta señal visible recuerde a otros sobre el Evangelio, que es una buena noticia llena de gracia para todas las personas.
